Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana ‐ Adults Only ‐ All Inclusive

This trip was top tier! Everything was super clean and everyone was super friendly and professional. Food was great, they have 7 restaurants to choose from including a buffet that changes it’s food daily. We ordered breakfast room service once and eggs came up still hot! We also ordered a steak for a late dinner, and it was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. Cleaning room service always left fresh towels throughout the room. There is only one main pool, but it is huge. It has 2 jacuzzis on each end. There is another pool for guest in the club, but honestly it is secluded from the beach. The main pool is always clean, I honestly don’t know how they do it since it never smells like chlorine. The main pool overlooks the beach which is a nice view. There are always activities going on at the pool and the beach. In your room, there is a tv channel that has a daily newsletter that is updated every morning showing the temperate, sunrise and sunset time, daily activities and where they will be, restaurant menus and their perspective schedules. The activities include beach yoga, pool spin class, water aerobics, rum tastings and arts and crafts activities. Literally never a dull moment! The music around the pool is upbeat but doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a club and I’m pretty sure you can request songs. Sometimes they have a live artist overlooking the pool, I think we saw 3 different performers while we were there. At night time they have 3 different nighttime shows. First one starts around 7ish with live acoustical artists, then at 9ish there a big show with lights and performers, and to turn down there is either a piano player or a live artist singing by the lobby until 12ish. There isn’t a club but honestly, when you spend all day in the sun, it’s nice to be in bed at a decent time. I came with my partner for our babymoon, and it was perfect. We are both 29 and enjoy a night out and didn’t feel we missed out on anything. There is also a really cool martini bar, which gave off a NYC speakeasy vibes with crafted cocktails made out out matcha and beets, all while a live piano player performed. Loved that! There is a coffee/pastries bar at the lobby which is great if you are not into eating breakfast too early in the morning or if you need a caffeinated beverage before dinner. I’m sure I’m missing more, but in all, a great place to stay and enjoy your vacation. It is definitely worth the $. Also the beach is very shallow, we walked so far with the water up to our waist. A little bit of seaweed when you first go in but disappears once you’re out far enough. We even saw fishies! Every employee that works there is a gem, but we have to give a huge shout out to our guy Ramon. He made sure our stay was phenomenal. He met us at the pool on our first day there and introduced us to so many great people. He met us everyday at the pool and made sure we were taken care of with drinks, towels, lunch, dinner reservations, night time show hours. All of the above! He introduced us to Amado at the pool, who has the best work out classes and is just so amicable and funny. We loved him. He would always stop and chat with us at the martini bar, poolside, the night shows. Ramon also introduced us to Jose over at the navigator restaurant who went out of his way to get me a whole fried fish, a pregnancy craving of mine. He also invited us back for lunch the next day, where the chef Yaniris personally made us a traditional Dominican lunch of rice, beans and steak with peppers. It was just how my mom makes it, delicious! Again, everyone is so great, they remember your name, your story and most importantly your drink order! Will definitely be back again soon.
