On a guided boat tour or from the ground at the observatory in Punta Balandra, observe the 1,500 to 2,000 whales that migrate to the waters of the Samaná Bay. While the official whale-watching season is from the middle of January to the beginning of March, cruises are offered all year round when whales are present in the harbor.
