The Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) is the leading event for the commercialization of the Dominican Republic´s tourism product, where important negotiations are annually held between travel agents, tour operators, specialized groups, and the main providers of the national tourism sector. Since 1999, it revolves around a fruitful agenda of planned negotiations between foreign buyers and local suppliers, with the aim of promoting the national tourist offer to important issuing markets.

In its 22nd edition, over 160 suppliers and buyers from 20 countries have confirmed their in-person participation. Cultural attractions will be promoted through on-site art exhibits, musical entertainment, and artistic performances. The use of digital technology will be emphasized to reduce the use of paper, in line with the sector’s goals of promoting sustainability.
